Welcome back to "Sessions at..." where we bring up and coming and well known musicians to the MTA's vast network for surprise pop-up performances! For our most recent Session, on August 9th, Bette Smith performed at the 59th St-Columbus Circle station; you can catch the full performance here:

Bette, a native New Yorker, says her favorite subway memory is going from "Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn all the way up to 207th St, because I went to high school in Dyckman Heights... I got to do a lot of studying and I was a straight A student because of that train ride."

Keep up to date with Bette at her website, and follow her on Instagram. You can also listen to her latest album Goodthing here.

Stay tuned for more — these "sessions" are unannounced, so keep riding and try to catch the next one! If you miss any live, you'll spot them on our digital screens throughout the system which will direct you to the full performance.
