Ballgames aren’t just for peanuts and Cracker Jacks anymore, most stadiums now provide a broad selection of food and drink to enhance the experience for fans. And over in the Bronx, the New York Yankees have just added some new options to their already robust lineup — including Fuku, Mac Truck, and cheesy garlic bread from the Bronx-born chef Christian Petroni.
These newbies at the stadium will join the likes of Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson, Bobby Flay’s Bobby’s Burgers, Lobel’s, Mighty Quinn’s, Chickie’s & Pete’s, City Winery, The Halal Guys, Sumo Dog, Benihana, Oatly and Wings of New York. Whether you’re looking for some classic meats and sweets offerings, or something gluten-free or vegetarian, you can now find it in the iconic stadium, which is even growing some of its own produce.
Lettuce and herbs cultivated in the Yankee Stadium Tower Garden, located by Gate 2, will be used in various menu items throughout the season. The vertical, aeroponic garden system of Tower Farms is also a hands-on learning experience for students taking part in the Yankees Healthy Home Plate Program.
To help keep fans updated on the latest, Yankee Stadium has even set up a dedicated Instagram account at @yankeestadiyum. Below, find a guide to the stadium’s culinary offerings and what section you’ll find your faves in, as well as transit details and some fun facts about the MTA station artwork you'll find on your next visit.

GETTING THERE & STATION ARTWORK

Yankee Stadium is easy to get to, just take Metro-North to the Yankees-E 153rd St station, or take the B, D, or 4 train to 161st St. Tip: If you lose your sense of direction after the game and need to find the Metro-North station entrance, look for the giant baseball that is next to it (pictured above, this is a 120-foot exhaust stack made to look like a bat).

If you take Metro-North, make some time to take in the wonderful artwork at the station — The Home of the Stars by Ellen Harvey (courtesy of the MTA Arts + Design program) is comprised of mosaic panels that you'll find in the pedestrian overpass on your way to the stadium. This work is based "on a series of photographs and watercolors capturing the south-facing Bronx sky from 6:30 to 9 p.m." from April 2009. You'll even find the timestamps on each mosaic.
