Just 70 miles north of Manhattan in Patterson, New York, Thunder Ridge Ski Area’s scenic slopes are perfect for all levels of skiers and snowboarders – from beginner to expert. There are slow and gentle trails, as well as advanced trails to challenge the daring and adventurous! Go for the day or spend the weekend.

The Thunder Ridge ski package includes a discounted round-trip train ticket and lift ticket for the day. When you arrive at the mountain, you can purchase your rental equipment at a discounted rate. We do not rent helmets but helmets are available for purchase in our ski shop. Want to take a lesson? They are available throughout the day and should be purchased on-line prior to your arrival.

The MTA Deal

Save on round-trip rail tickets and all-day lift tickets on the weekends through March 8, 2025, plus a shuttle to and from Metro-North's Patterson Station and a $5 discount on ski or snowboard rentals.

How to Get Your Tickets

Purchase your package from any Metro-North ticket office or full-service ticket vending machine (excluding Patterson Station). Use OMNY or MetroCard for the subway or bus.

Take Metro-North's Harlem Line to Patterson station. From there, a shuttle bus will meet you to take you to and from Thunder Ridge at 137 Birch Hill Road.
