On this seasonal one-hour tour, visitors will explore both The Armour-Stiner Octagon House and its verdant 3.3 acres of restored landscape – both prime examples of the romantic and picturesque ideals of the third quarter of the 19th century. The tour includes the property’s Lord and Burnham greenhouse and Foxglove Garden, in addition to the veranda and selected rooms on the three primary floors inside. While enjoying lush gardens and whimsical architectural details, learn about the exotic plant species on the property, the evolution of modern landscape architecture, and the restoration of this historic home.
This tour will be offered from May 2, 2024 through June 20, 2024, Thursdays through Mondays, at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm.
