2024 New York City Marathon

The 53rd edition of the New York City Marathon kicks off Sunday, November 3rd, and will take runners all over the five boroughs, with the 26.2-mile course starting in Staten Island and running across the Verrazano Bridge into Brooklyn up Fourth Aveue, then north through Williamsburg and Greenpoint into Queens via the Pulaski Brige, across the Queensboro Bridge to the east side of Manhattan, up First Avenue and through East Harlem into the Bronx, and finally back into Manhattan, going down Fifth Avenue into Central Park for the finish. Stake out a spot on the sidewalk or street to cheer on the athletes; things kick off with the professional wheelchair division at 8:00 a.m., with the final wave of runners leaving Staten Island at 11:30 a.m.
