Welcome the Year of the Snake with the annual Lunar New Year parade and festival in Manhattan's Chinatown. Lion and dragon dancers, drummers, dancers, and those simply celebrating the arrival of the new year will all take part in the festivities to celebrate the arrival of the new year. The parade will head down Mott Street from Hester Street to East Broadway, then make its way east to Forsyth Street and head north alongside Sara D. Roosevelt Park to Grand Street. As for the festival, there will be booths set up on Bayard Street between Mott and Mulberry Streets. The parade begins at 1:00 pm; the festival will begin at 11:30 am.
