For the first time, the works of Madalena Santos Reinbolt will be shown outside of her native Brazil in this exhibition of 42 of her pieces at the American Museum of Folk Art. Reinbolt is best known for her large and brightly colored embroideries, which she called "wool paintings," and this exhibition promises to "examine the artist’s work through a variety of lenses, including gender, race, and socio-economic dynamics."
